SUN:  Bad Boot Block

Error indication:

You receive the following message on boot:

Boot device: /sbus@40,0/QLGC,isp@1,10000/sd@3,0 File and arges: -s
The file just loaded does not appear to be executable.

NOTE:  The sbust and QLGC numbers may differ, but the syntax should be roughly the same.

To fix:

Boot off the cdrom, then execute:

/usr/sbin/installboot/usr/platform/`uname -i`/lib/fs/ufs/bootblk /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s0

NOTE:  Ensure you have back tics on the uname -i and that the disk that you're executing this on is the boot disk (check the boot device via OBP to verify).
